People looking to get into local lead gen often wonder what niches they should try. It’s true that getting started and finding your first customer is the hardest part. With so many types of businesses it can be overwhelming. Theoretically, almost any business could work in some way with the local lead gen model, but some business types are a better fit for LLG. Many of these niches are already accustomed to buying leads in one form or another. So the transition to working with a internet marketer can be easier. Here are 83 niches that work well with a local lead gen model. Obviously it is also a good idea to think outside the box when finding new businesses to work with, but this list is a good start.

This list is taken from Chapter 2, “Finding Customers” of Local Lead Plan

I have actually had a handful of companies in these industries ask about lead gen and how it works. I have not personally done any local for them yet, but they sound very interested.
PS – Read the Local Lead Gen book and it was great, thank you!
Good post I see the strategy behind the post lol
I will be ordering your guide soon
To be honest the list is kind of endless. I usually look at the categories on the yellow pages in the UK for ideas.
Awesome stuff! This should be a bonus for your local lead plan!
haha
Quite extensive list for sure. Gives me some good ideals and helps me narrow down to a couple focal areas.
I was wondering. How do you make the following sectors viable to generate a decent ROI?
Florists
Hair salons
Nail salons
Personal Chefs
Technical training centers
Has someone generated leads for these sectors? What are your experiences.
Kind Regards from The Netherlands

great list, picking one to start out with and once you get the procedure done, it looks like it can be scaled out to the other areas.
google map sponsored search or facebook works quite well for sponsored search.
This is my first time i visit here. I found so many interesting stuff in your blog, especially its discussion. From the tons of comments on your posts, I guess I am not the only one having all the leisure here! Keep up the good work.
nice list you have collected with business category. it will help the person who want to start new business. thanks for sharing this great informative post.
Local Lead Plan is a detailed, content rich course that gives you everything you need for doing local lead gen, profitably.
Great list that is sure to give people some ideas to get into local lead gen. If you are going to pursue local lead gen, be sure that the company has good enough conversion rates to make it worthwhile. If they’re not getting sales from those leads, they likely won’t keep paying you. Some companies may even insist on paying for leads who make a purchase.
Very nice – was looking for a list like this but was only able to find ones that were about 30 or 40 in length – adding to my list
I’ve been checking out this blog it’s very very helpful. I was just wasting the time by not knowing what I was doing. But your blog helped me a lot. Thank you very much and all the best in future.
In the last 4 years alone, I’ve spent over $100,000 of my own money … 11. With Lead Generation, you can sell your leads to local/national or even international …
Nice list thanks for this info!
That is a LOT of niches.
Thanks for putting those together. Niches like health and relationship are probably the most popular.
Those may be some of the more popular niches, but there may be less competition in other niches. You’d want to take into account different factors like that before pursuing a niche.
great, list. I have taken note of most of them.
This is a great list! Thanks!
Thanks for helpfully list, it really helps me
Thanks again
You call it Local Lead generation, others call it mobile/local fusion or some other fancy name, it seems that it’s all the rage and even growing in popularity over the past few months. Thanks for the helpful information.
I don’t know why I didn’t think of veterinarians myself — I’m always paying them for something.
