There has been a ton of press in the last week about Facebook. From Microsoft pumping in a bunch of money, to monetizing Facebook apps, to their new ad network coming online in a couple weeks. Not to mention just about every other story on Techcrunch is about Facebook. So try as I might to avoid it, I guess I will have to give Facebook a look. I’m not a fan of marketing on social networks, and up until today I have never even logged onto Facebook. But I have committed some time to do some actual testing, and I’ll be posting results as they come in. I consider something like Facebook to be like a 2nd or 3rd tier PPC service in terms of traffic and spend ability. It never can replace the big 3, but it’s got enough promise to give it a go.
