Hot converting tip - tax offers

OK, most bloggers don’t post about offers they are actively promoting, but it’s Friday and I’m in a good mood. There are only 4 days left until the deadline for tax filing in the US. There is a huge surge going on now, and will only get bigger in the next few days. It’s not too late to throw a campaign together to get in on this action. I’d suggest the tax offers on Neverblue and CX digital. Trust me, these are hot right now.

As you can see in this Google trends report, there is always 2 traffic surges in tax season.

The first is when people get their W-2s and file right away. The next and biggest surge is last minute files, right before the deadline. These people are in a hurry, desperate, and want to convert your offer!

Great post. That’s a great find on the charts that show the w-2s, then last minute filing!… so consistant every year.

Of course I should stop overanalyzing this, jump into PPC, and figure it out, but… With offers like these, it seems like the market must be overly saturated, and it’d be hard to squeeze in and actually make money? No?

When something this big is hitting, everyone can jump in and make money. Anyways, probably only 3% of the people who read a post like this will actually jump in and try it.

Hey Chad,

I’ve been doing fairly well with about 15-20% of visits becoming leads (depending on keywords). How much are you getting per lead?

Strange… Yesterday, I had 507 clicks and 132 leads. Did you create your own landing page?

You guys did good, no I quickly setup a direct linking one to test it out and it flopped. Good job though, I have since de-activated mine now.

Yeah, I created a direct linking one two with similar sad results:

217 clicks, 3 conversions.

uGUX, Jason & Chad: did you guys set up your own landing pages before sending to the vendor (which seemed to have decent landing page) or did I just get very bad keywords?

Would love to know, thanks!

Great idea, goes to show that thinking outside the box in terms of which niche to aim for is really the key for jumping over your competitors. Thanks for the great suggestion!
