Pleasure and pain on Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving! I saw a nice traffic surge to most campaigns the day before and Thanksgiving days. Conversion rates jumped too, as usually happens on holidays. It was a nice taste of what’s to come in the month of December. So the great earnings was the pleasure part of the day, now for the pain.

While sitting on the patio at the parents house and enjoying a beer, a scorpion decided to crawl up my shirt and sting the hell out of my back 3 times before I knew what hit me. Nothing like ripping off your shirt and yelling in pain in front of the other Thanksgiving guests. I have lived in Phoenix my whole life and up until then, had avoid being stung by one of these little demons, but that streak ended. I stopped at the urgent care to get it checked out and luckily was told “very few” of these stings are fatal. Reassuring I guess, unless you are one of the “few”. They were nice enough to place the scorpion which I brought with me, into a jar for a souvenir of the day. All in all a memorable day. Glad I lived through it!

The little bastard that got me.

What they look like before crushing.

Ouch! LMAO. This is definitely the best thanksgiving story I’ve heard to date.

Glad you survived it

Holy crap. I guess dealing with snow and cold is not so bad, at least we don’t have things like that crawling around.

I am glad I live up here in the north east for this reason alone.
