If you are a stock trader, you watch the market trends all day. If you are a pay per click marketer, you should be keeping up on keyword trends every day too. The keyword marketplace is always changing and new keywords are surging for different reasons. I have posted before how the savvy marketer can capitalize on surging keywords to make huge profits. Fortunately this data is readily available, and the best source is the Google Hot Trends feed. This is updated usually about 10 times a day so the info is very fresh. If I could keep only one feed in my reader this would be it. No other site has ever helped me make more money than this feed.
I guarantee this RSS feed will make you money!
Enjoy and good luck!

I’ve seen Google suggest $5.00 – $10.00 minimum bids on words that are on hot trends. Any suggestions on how to make a ‘trending’ word more affordable?
Great stuff, I knew Yahoo had this but not Google.
Hi Chad,
Can you follow up on this? I mean, are you generating new campaigns throughout the day based on the hot trends, or are you dynamically inserting keywords to existing campaigns based on the feed?
Please toss out a few ideas. I’ve been doing this full time for 6 months and am always eager to learn more!
Thank you!
Chad,
I agree — this looks like a great resource, and combined with the other info here, this is a great little bonus! But I would also love for you to expand upon this more, especially in terms of how this fits into your campaigns…i.e., do you start brand new campaigns with some of these keywords? Or do you have a few campaigns that you constantly add keywords to, and this is one of the resources you use to mine those fresh words?
Thanks!
- Dave
I am just gonna have to hit you up for more info on this in the next conference, because I too have no idea what I would do with this info.
thanks for the reminder.
what to do with it? hot searched for keywords with very little competition, certainly ya’ll can figure something out
Ok guys, here’s a follow up. Basically I would use this list in 3 ways.
1. Maybe you can drop one of these hot keywords into an existing campaign (new adgroup).
2. If you are quick, you might be able to find an offer on one of your affiliate networks to match up with one of these keywords.
3. These type of keywords work really great with this non-relevant tip. Just be sure you are using your “backup accounts”.
Hot Trends is great. I don’t use it for PPC, rather to learn what’s hot and why it’s hot right now. And some other stuff
Thanks for that promotion for that feed anyway.
Chad, i have actually noticed that some of the keywords on the Trends are not showing any ppc ads at all..but when i tried to setup ads on them, the minimum bids were a bit on the high side..especially since i was trying to use them as a cheap traffic source for entertainment leads..
Kudos. This feed is absolute genius. Anyway we can get like Daily, Weekly, and Monthly hot trends?
I mean the hourly Hot Trends is good, but provides only niches that are temporarily hot.
A weekly or Monthly list, would provide niches that are more for the long term.
