By now I’m sure everyone has read about the coming updates to Adwords. By the way, if you don’t already subscribe to the Adwords blog I highly recommend doing so. You can read the full details of the update there.
Apparently these changes will be rolled out more slowly than originally thought. I talked to my rep this morning and he said they scaled back the number of accounts to get the new system right away. I guess there were “issues” on Saturday. So chances are most of us still won’t see them for a couple weeks. My account is unchanged.
I know some people are a little freaked out about the news, but all these improvments sound positive to me.
So did you get the new changes yet?
No update for me yet.
I manage a great deal of accounts and have not seen the updates in ANY of them. I’m sort of scared about the min page 1 bids. I think its going to get people bidding more then they have to.
No updates on our account yet, we spoke with our G rep and she said that it was a big process, and was going to take a few weeks to get rolled out to all advertisers.
If the page 1 bids is replacing minimum bids…does that mean there are no longer minimum bids? That would be great because for some really expensive keywords, I might actually not mind showing up on the second page, since users that see it there are probably a lot more qualified anyway. Before I’d just be stuck paying a high minimum bid regardless.
Myself nor anyone I know has had their accounts updated yet.
I just had mine updated. noticing alot less volume too during this update. I already had my content and search on different campaigns (even though basically the same other than minor keywords changes). Volume went from about $850 to about $350 / day
